Killeen–Temple, TX · Fort Hood
Veteran trades and home services in Killeen
GetGigz is a marketplace for veteran-verified skilled trades and home services. Killeen and Temple sit next to Fort Hood, one of the Army’s largest installations. Households here deal with frequent PCS moves, rental turnovers and everyday repairs, and many veterans and military spouses already live and work in Central Texas. Veterans list their skills for free. Homeowners and property managers can look for trusted help nearby.
Where we are in this market
GetGigz is launching first in the Killeen–Temple area around Fort Hood. The directory is just getting started, so you may not see many profiles yet.
If you are transitioning at Fort Hood, the installation Transition Assistance Program is a public Army resource for career help. GetGigz is a separate marketplace where veterans can list trade skills for local gigs.
Services near Fort Hood
These pages explain the work, any licensing to be aware of, and how to browse veterans who offer that trade. If the directory is still thin, that is expected while we launch — it does not mean the work is unavailable in your city through other channels.
How GetGigz works
Veterans translate a MOS, rating or AFSC into civilian trades, build a profile and list the gigs they offer. Homeowners browse those profiles or post a gig. Veteran verification is planned for launch; in this beta, profiles are provided by users and are not yet verified by GetGigz.
