Veteran trades and home services in Columbus
GetGigz is a marketplace for veteran-verified skilled trades and home services. Columbus, Georgia sits next to Fort Benning, home of the Army’s Maneuver Center of Excellence. The area has a steady mix of military families, rentals and homeowners who need trusted local trades. Veterans list their skills for free. Homeowners and property managers can look for trusted help nearby.
Where we are in this market
Columbus and Fort Benning are planned after Killeen and Fayetteville. You can still create a profile or join the waitlist so you are on the list when we open.
If you are transitioning at Fort Benning, the installation Transition Assistance Program is a public Army resource for career help. GetGigz is a separate marketplace.

These pages explain the work, any licensing to be aware of, and how to browse veterans who offer that trade. If the directory is still thin, that is expected while we launch — it does not mean the work is unavailable in your city through other channels.
How GetGigz works
Veterans translate a MOS, rating or AFSC into civilian trades, build a profile and list the gigs they offer. Homeowners browse those profiles or post a gig. Veteran verification is planned for launch; in this beta, profiles are provided by users and are not yet verified by GetGigz.
